Rose M. Wesolowski, 96, of Glassport, a member of the greatest generation, returned home to be with her lord Jesus Christ on July 8, 2021 surrounded by the love and prayers of her family, friends and caregivers. She was released from this world at The UPMC Family Hospice Unit at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh She was born June 15, 1925 in Port Vue  and was the daughter of the late Marko and Rosa Turkovic.  She was the wife of 51 years to her beloved husband, the late Herbert Joseph Wesolowski,  who passed away July 7, 1999.

Rose was a 1946 graduate of the McKeesport School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years at McKeesport Hospital. She was also a member of the former Sacred Heart and Holy Cross Parishes in McKeesport. Rose is survived by her children, Mark (Debra) Wesolowski of Jefferson Hills, daughters, Susan Ferarro of Glassport and Janet (Randy) Wesolowski Suter of Ruffsdale and son, Daniel (Donna) Wesolowski of Export, grandchildren, Julia (Dan)Wesolowski Kysela of Bridgeville, Nicole Wesolowski of Charlotte, NC and Lea Wesolowski of Export, great-granddaughter, Katherine Elizabeth Kysela and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her, granddaughter, Angela Marie Wesolowski, sisters, Anna Plivilec, Mary Koscur, Agnes Turkovic, Genievive Bialobik and Dorothy Turkovic and brothers, George Turkovic, Tony Turkovic and Mark Turkovic.    Friends are welcome from Monday, July 12, 2021, from1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director. A blessing service will be held in the Chapel of Gilbert Funeral Home following visitation at 4:00 pm with The Rev. Edward Wichman,  officiating.  Private inurnment will be held at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Vue, at a later date.  Memorial contributions in Rose's name may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation at www.wish.org.
