Nickalena "Lena" "Nicky" Catalina, age 98 of Port Vue, passed away at home on Sunday, August 8, 2021.  Born April 25, 1923 in Scottdale, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Agnes Iannone.  A member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish - St. Eugene's Church in Liberty Borough, Nickalena worked for Norwood Catering on the Gateway Clipper Fleet.  She will be remembered for taking great pride in cooking and taking care of her house, her a great sense of humor, and loved all the Pittsburgh sports teams.  Besides her parents, Nickalena was preceded in death by her husband Joseph R. Catalina, who passed away January 12, 2008, and her brothers Anthony and Eugene Iannone.  She is survived by her children Marianne (Don Plagman) Catalina of McCandless Twp., Christine Catalina of North Versailles, LeeAnn (Tom Dworek) Catalina of Port Vue, Edward (Norma) Catalina of Greensburg, and Joseph (Marlene) Catalina of Mt. Vernon; her grandchildren Gabriel (Dukee) Catalina, Joseph (Paz) Catalina, Carrie (Tim) Scott, Mindy (Don) Geletko, Tim (Colleen) Hannan, and Ed (Renee) Catalina; her fourteen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and also her beloved cat Abbey. 

Visitation will be private.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10 AM in Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish - St. Eugene's Worship Site, Liberty Borough, with Fr. Thomas A. Wagner officiating.  Procession and burial will follow to Calvary Cemetery, Port Vue.  Arrangements by the Daniel F.
