Raymond W. Kostovny, age 77, of Irwin, died August 20, 2021, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital of Greensburg. Born November 29, 1943, in Homestead, he was the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Magnus) Kostovny and the husband of Barbara (Kotulsky) Kostovny.
Raymond retired from General Motors Fisher Body Division of General Motors Corp., where he was a welder. He also worked at Westinghouse, and US Steel, in his early years. Raymond was a United States Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Holy Family Polish National Catholic Church. Raymond enjoyed gardening, exercising, going to the beach, and building things.
In addition to his wife, Raymond is survived by his children, Dana (Jeff) Morris of Canton, OH, and Nicholas Kostovny, USMC of NC; granddaughter, Olivia Morris, siblings, Edward (Susan) Kostovny, and Dolores Zoretich; also nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Polish National Catholic Church on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 10 a.m. Military honors will follow.
Inurnment will be in Holy Family Cemetery in North Versailles at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Holy Family Polish National Catholic Church.
