Eleanor Louise (Whiteman) Herbert passed away quietly in her home with her husband, Paul, at her side on September 10, 2021 after a period of declining health. They were married 64 years and are devoted Christians. A native of Buena Vista, PA she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anne Whiteman. Eleanor earned her BS degree from University of San Francisco and her MS degree from Golden Gate (SF) University in accounting. She worked for Variance Associates of Palo Alto for 20 years and Lockheed (LMMS) for 15 years before retiring to Carmel Indiana in 1998.

Eleanor is survived by her husband, Paul Herbert, sisters, Dr. Ann Rosche of Sunnyvale CA, Marjorie (Marge) Aukerman of Webster NY, and many nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Twp., (412)751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dennis Handley, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, McKeesport.
