It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lillian Marie Irha, 90, announces her passing on October 16, 2021 in Glen Allen, Virginia. Lillian, née Yanchik, died peacefully at home, surrounded by love.

Lillian was born in Homestead, Pennsylvania on June 30, 1931. A 1949 graduate of Munhall High School, Lillian married John J. Irha of Homestead, Pennsylvania in September 1952. They had three children together: Sandra, Nancy, and Daniel.

Described by friends and family as “feisty, unfiltered, and absolutely fabulous,” Lillian was known for her hearty, bubbly giggle and her fun-loving, social personality. She always made it a point to keep in touch with family and friends, whether near or far. Lillian enjoyed dancing, bowling and cards, as well as entertaining at her lovely home. She especially loved bingo and delighted in sharing her quite-frequent winnings with her grandchildren. Lillian, a faithful Catholic, was a lifelong parishioner of Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cathedral of Munhall, Pennsylvania.

Lillian was predeceased by her husband of forty-three years, John J. Irha, her parents, Andrew and Anna Yanchik, and her sister, Mildred Saporito, all of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Reed of Dunellen, New Jersey, and Nancy Crouch (Clayton) of Glen Allen, Virginia; her son, Daniel Irha (Maureen) of Laguna Niguel, California; eight beautiful granddaughters, Jean Wilson Moodry (James), Fort Lauderdale, FL; Joy Wilson Ulikowski (Thomas), Bayville, NJ; Dana Crouch, Richmond, VA; Laura Crouch, Richmond, VA; Brittany Irha, Hayward, CA; Chelsea Irha-Grigoryan (Arsen), Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; Ashley Irha (Rutger), Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; Natalie Irha (Stephen), Poway, CA; and two great-granddaughters, Violet Vota and Rowan Vota of Little Silver, NJ.

Visitation will be held from Noon to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday October 28, 2021 at William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, 828 Richford Street, Duquesne, PA 15110, followed by a burial service at St. John Cathedral Cemetery, Main Street, Munhall PA. The family kindly asks that flowers and condolences be sent to the funeral home. Donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, 210 Greentree Road, Munhall PA. 15120.
