Elizabeth P. (Ashcroft) Ritenour, 90, formerly of North Versailles, passed to be with her Lord and loved ones on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at The Patriot in Somerset. She was born July 24, 1931 in Whitaker and was the daughter of the late Thomas T. and Frances M. (Kratzenburg) Ashcroft. She was the wife of the late William E. Ritenour who passed away November 4, 2004. They were married for 50 years.

 Elizabeth was a 1950 graduate of McKeesprt High School. Prior to marriage she worked for G.C. Murphy Co. in McKeesport. She was a lifetime member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Family was everything to her! She was a special lady who loved life, gardening, and bird watching. Known to many as "Little Betty", she was a joy and blessing to everyone who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Karen (Walter) Slobodian of White Oak, Kim (Barry) Ritenour of Jennerstown, and Kathy (Mark) Shaffer of Middletown, DE, grandchildren, Robert (Beth) Ritenour, Melissa (Jeremy) Mostoller, April (Sam) Swank, Bryan (Lindsay) Shaffer, Jennifer (Dom) Slobodian, and Michael Slobodian, great-grandchildren, Landen and Logan Swank, Jonah Mostoller, and Ava and Kara Ritenour, and many extended family members including 3 sisters-in-law, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Enolia Ashcroft (infant), and Margaret (Jim) Rittenour, brothers, Allen (Clara) Ashcroft and Thomas (Elaine) Ashcroft. Friends are welcome Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak. (412) 672-6322  Troy J. Gilbert, director. Funeral Service will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in McKeesport on Friday, October 29 at 10 am. with Celebrant The Rev. Dr. Moni McIntyre and The Rev. Dr. W. Jay Geisler, officiating.
