Linda Denise Foster, 65, died December 2, 2021. An author, entrepreneur, missionary, and a life-long resident of McKeesport, Linda was born August 5, 1956, in Clairton, PA. She was the beloved daughter of Bishop James and the late Pauline Jones Foster.

She graduated from Clairton High School. She obtained an Associate Degree in Accounting. She retired as a night monitor at Auberle but loved the job and the people, she went back to work part-time.

Linda loved her family & was an advocate in her community.  Her passion for feeding others was displayed in every aspect of her life.  Rather it was feeding someone spiritually or providing them with a hot meal, she made sure to fill your mind, body, and soul.

She was an active member of Trinity Church of God in Christ. Where she allowed her dedication to helping others to lead her in various ministries. Besides serving in the church, Linda founded Big Momma’s Soup Kitchen, where she fed anyone in need.  She was the founder of The Community Choir that embraced every soul to sing all over the city.  She was an avid writer. She wrote a host of poems, scripts, plays and published a book, Sarah’s Secret Struggle.

Linda departed this life on December 2, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Jones Foster, brother, Paul Foster, and sister, Aurelia Napper- Alexander.

Linda is survived by her father, Bishop James (Martha) Foster, her loving children; daughters, Juakina Foster; Mylisha (Qualaun) Burns; and son, Leon Foster; grandchildren; James Foster, Santara Porter, Jermaisha and Arynn Pratt, Ayriauna West, Za’Niya Foster, Janyah Burns, and Za’Rya Foster; great-grandchildren Jordan Foster, Kailyn and Ryleigh Patterson and Tre’Jier Patterson; a sister, Elizabeth "Liz"  Foster; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Linda loved boldly and cared openly for all, and in return, she was loved by so many. Her smile was able to brighten up your day. While her personality could emanate throughout the room. Linda will be deeply missed.
