Barbara A. (Siler) Hanick, age 87, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Jefferson Hospital. She was a retired beauty consultant for Estee Lauder and Clarins. She was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp. where she was a former choir member. She was a self-taught and talented pianist and organist who played for her friends and at the weekly service at Arrowood at Southwestern Senior Living. She was an avid gardener and painter, giving her many paintings to family and friends. A talented seamstress, she made countless outfits for special family events and occasions. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Born March 25, 1934 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Regis and Violet (McGarrity) Siler and wife of the late Dennis J. Hanick. She is survived by daughters, Denise Mykich of Pittsburgh, Deborah (Ted) Salka of Bunola, Catherine Hanick of Smyrna, GA, and Amy (Tim) Jarboe of Ellicott City, MD; granddaughters, Brooke and Sarah Jane Jarboe of Ellicott City, MD; brother, John Siler of Largo, FL; also, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 3-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 10 AM in St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church with the Rev. Thomas A. Wagner officiating.
