Edwin E. Jenkins, 82, of Boston, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 11, 2021. He was born April 1, 1939 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Russell and Ellen (Gilmore) Jenkins. He was a member of Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church and was retired from US Steel Irvin Works after 35 years of service. Ed was an avid sports fan.  He loved the Steelers, Penn State football and Pitt football. He coached youth baseball and basketball and enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren playing sports. He loved camping with his family and driving his "57" Chevy.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Martha "Jean" Jenkins, sons, Enoch (Kendra) Jenkins of Elizabeth Township and Eric (Becky) Jenkins of Sarver, daughters, Kimberly Rosenwald of Moon and Cheryl Stanley of Pittsburgh, grandchildren, Jacob, Julia, Elena, Emma and Sophia Jenkins, sister, Annabelle Halfhill of Perryopolis, and nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his sisters, Bernie Blanchard, Dolores Herald, Loretta Jenkins, Mardell Barnes and Jackie Jenkins, and brothers, Bill, Charles, and Ted Jenkins. Friends are welcome Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
