John William Cox, 67, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022. He was born March 4, 1954 in McKeesport and was the son of the late William and Veronica "Vern" (Topolnak) Cox. John was retired from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and had previously worked for US Steel Duqesne Works. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Leslie Jo (Moffat) Cox, children, Ashley Cox Speegle, Jamie Cox Toth, Jessie Cox (the late Jacob) Trickett and John "Jake" Cox of Elizabeth Township, and Suellen Cox Trickett of New Alexandria, grandchildren, Mara and Beckett Speegle, Ryan, Natalie, Jacob and Harley Trickett, Ricky Bates, and Noah and Abby Toth. He was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Cox Tkach. There is no visitation. Arrangements are by Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.
