George F. "Jr" Behun Jr., age 76, of Elizabeth, and formerly of Hays, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Family Hospice & Palliative Care in Mt. Lebanon. He was a heavy equipment operator for Standard LaFarge in West Mifflin. He was a member of Holy Angels Parish in Hays and is a Marine veteran. A former member of Masonic Solomon Lodge #231, he enjoyed his garden, traveling, his family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Born January 2, 1940 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late George F. Behun Sr. and the late Mary (Sailor) Behun. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eileen M. (Jones) Behun of Elizabeth; daughter, Tracey (Michael) McHugh of Murrysville; son, Jason (Bobbi Jo) Behun of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Alexandria, Gwendolyn and Zane Behun of Fort Myers, FL, and Ashley (Kyle) Craine of Hinesville; great-grandchild, Connor Craine; sister, Diana (Thomas) Dominick of Pleasant Hills; also, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 10 AM in Holy Angels Parish with Rev. Robert Ahlin officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Family Hospice & Palliative Care, 50 Moffett Street, Mt. Lebanon, PA 15243.
