Helen Bernadine Hindman,  88, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022. She was born August 2, 1933 in Swanton, MD., and was the daughter of the late Herbert D. and Pearl (Paugh) Sharpless. She was the wife of the late James Edwin Hindman who passed away December 21, 2008. Helen attended Elizabeth Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Janice E. Lieberum and grandson, Derek Lieberum of Elizabeth Township, son-in-law, Larry Leightley of Decatur, AL, sister, Minnie Nelson of Deer Park, MD., brothers, Carl C. Sharpless of Gum Spring, VA., and Ray R. Sharpless of Swanton, MD., nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Ann Leightley. There is no visitation. Inurnment will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Swanton, MD. Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000.
