Gayle S. (MacArthur) Smith, age 89, of Dravosburg, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2022, with her family by her side. Born September 9, 1932, in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Arthur "Bud" MacArthur and Evelyn (McDowell) Foster and the wife of the late Harold Pennell and Sherwood Smith.

Gayle was a waitress and bartender for over 40 years and retired from the Duquesne Country Club in West Mifflin.
Gayle is survived by her twin sister, Gaye Byard; children, Valerie (Cheri McKee) Nicholson and Bruce (Sis Patricca) Nicholson; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren; special niece Rhonda Foster; nephew, Jay (Dana) Byard, and she is also survived by two great-nieces and special friend, Becky Monaghan.
As per Gayle's wishes, funeral services will be private. A celebration of Gayle's life will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Dravosburg #1 Fire Hall, 598 Ravine St. Dravosburg, PA 15034. Friends and family are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Dravosburg #1 Fire Department Building Fund at 598 Ravine St. Dravosburg, PA 15034.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
