Dorothy Alice "Effie" Paterra, 89, of McKeesport, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016. She was born October 8, 1926 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late John Wilson and the Late Naomi Barlow Caldwell. She was the wife of the late Augostina "Gus" Paterra who died January 12, 2009. Dorothy was a member of St. Patrick Church in Christy Park and the Crimson Boosters Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, Russell A. (Natalie) Paterra of San Diego, CA, grandchildren, Aaron (Renee) Paterra of Belmont, CA, and Lyndsie (Eric) Geib of San Diego, CA, great-grandsons, A.J. Paterra, Luke Paterra, Jackson Allen and Owen Geib, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Dale T. Paterra, brother Gayle Wilson and step-father, Russell Caldwell. There is no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Patrick Catholic Church on Thursday September 22, at 10:00 am, with The Rev. Vincent P. Velas, officiating. Private interment will be in the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township. Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.
