Emory R. Dobos, age 79, of White Oak, died Sunday, March 20, 2022. He was born in McKeesport on Oct. 4, 1942 and is the son of the late Henry and Irene Revak Dobos. He was employed for over 45 years by the city of McKeesport and the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County and was the Assistant Superintendent of the McKeesport division. He was a member of the Eleventh Ward Club and Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church.

Emory was a beloved and dedicated husband, father, and great friend to many. He will be missed. He is survived by his wife Dolores “Lola” Martinez Dobos, son, John Dobos of White Oak and daughter Cristina Dobos also of White Oak; brothers Eugene Dobos of Monroeville, Wayne (Ginny) Dobos of North Versailles; niece Jessica Marsh Dobos; sister-in-law, Linda (Peter) Gentili of North Huntingdon, brother-in-law George R. Schlicht of McKeesport.

Friends and family are welcome on Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177). Mass of Catholic Christian Burial will take place on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church, 1640 Fawcett Avenue, White Oak, PA 15131 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Port Vue.
