Robert "Bob" Lee Sr. age 84, of Liberty Borough, passed away on March 19, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born January 9, 1938, in Connellsville, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence and Beulah (Bryner) Lee and husband of Loretta (Panek) Lee for 63 years.
After graduating from McKeesport High School, Bob started his career as an electrician at J & L Steel. He then became an insurance agent with MetLife, where he advanced into management. Bob went on to be a Regional Manager with INA Insurance. After several years he opened his own insurance agency. He opened his first office on Lysle Boulevard in McKeesport and later moved his Nationwide Insurance agency to Glassport, PA. After retiring, his children and grandchildren succeeded him in the insurance business. Bob's approach to life was to work hard and play hard. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards with friends and family, and occasionally visiting the casino. His greatest passion was traveling with his wife, Loretta, and family. They visited many places, but his favorite destination was Walt Disney World. His love for Disney passed along to his children and grandchildren, and every time they visit, his memory and magic will be with them. Bob's greatest legacy is his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by children, Robert Jr. (Sherrie), of Pittsburgh, Lisa (John) Dolinar of North Huntingdon, Gregory (Maria), of North Huntingdon, and John (Kelly) of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Robert (Caty) Lee, Marcy (Tim) Smith, Jenna (Tyler) Berger, Morgan Dolinar, Nicholas, and Amanda Lee; great-grandchildren, Ethan Smith, and Brynn Berger; sisters, Norma "Peaches" Murrah of Lexington, SC and Rebecca Shumpert of Hilton Head, SC; also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Bob's family would like to thank Brittany and Frankie for their help and kindness from Amedisys Hospice.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Dolores Bower, June Bower, Rose Kelley, Beatrice Mullins, and Samuel Lee.
Private arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory.
The burial was in Mount Vernon Cemetery.
