Frederick Anthony Auretto, 79, of Elizabeth Township, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at home. He was born August 18, 1937 in Pittsburgh and was the son of the late Samuel and Louise Macri Auretto. He was a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Township and was a US Army Veteran. He was a retired Personnel Administrator for McKeesport Hospital and was also a Property Assessor for Allegheny County. He had also worked for Fort Pitt Steel Casting. He is survived by his wife, Sue Ann Brookhouser Auretto, daughters, Gina Auretto (Kip) Kennemur of Birmingham, AL, Cristina Auretto of Elizabeth Township and Danielle Auretto (Tracy Willcox) of Woodstock, NY, grandsons, Nicholas, Zachary, and Jared Kennemur, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Sam W. Auretto and sister, Diane Joan Auretto Lafferty. Friends are welcome Thursday September 8 from 7-9 pm and Friday, September 9 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
