Evelyn Marie "Evie" Fichera, 70, of West Mifflin passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022. She was born June 19, 1951 in McKeesport and was the daughter the late John and Florence (Sweeney) Ruggier. Evie was a member of the Holy Spirit Church in West Mifflin and gave much of her time coordinating & managing events for the West Mifflin #3 Volunteer Fire Department. She was also a housekeeper at McKeesport Hospital, but most importantly, she was a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Fichera of West Mifflin; son TJ (Dani) Fichera of Walla Walla, WA; daughter, Kimmy (Ron) Weber of Fishers, IN; sisters, Carol (Walt) Worek and Sandi (the late Deacon Gerry) Como; sister in law, Shelley Ruggier; grandchildren, Tiffany Lynn, Thomas Jr., and Cooper Fichera, and Alyssa and Jake Weber; along with lifelong friends Shirley Marone, and Kathy Bartilson. In addition to her parents, Evie is also preceded in death by her sisters, JoAnn Russell, Patricia (Joe) Petrick, and brother, Paul Ruggier. Friends are welcome Friday, April 15, 2022 from 5-8pm and Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 1-3 & 5-8pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.
