Phyllis Brown went home to be with her God and Saviour on Saturday, May 7, 2022.  Phyllis was loved by all who knew her.  She was the beloved wife to her husband, Jim, and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to a family who adored her.  She was a former member of Miller United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and vacation bible school, and was active in the ladies craft group and fundraising dinners.  She most recently was a member of Calvary Chapel in Greensburg and enjoyed the women's bible study group and preparing morning coffee with her sisters in Christ.  Phyllis battled with dementia and was lovingly cared for during her last months by the wonderful staff at Redstone Highlands, North Huntingdon.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Phyllis (Ray) Peck; sister, Carol (Peck) Williams, husband, James Brown; and granddaughter, Amanda Brown.  She is survived by her children, Deborah Connelly, Richard Brown, and Aaron (Tamarah) Brown; sister, Barbara Rokasky; grandchildren, Jamie Fitzgerald, Jarrett Brown and Hannah Brown; and great-grandchildren, Jesse, Jordan, Kai-Wen and Violet.    Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.  A funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Entombment to follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
