Ronald Russell Pope, 83, of Liberty Borough, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022. He was born March 7, 1939 in Port Vue and was the son of the late Joseph Benjamin and Stella Margaret (Gavron) Pope. Ronald was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Eugene Worship Site in Liberty and was retired from WABTECH which was formerly WABCO. He is survived by wife, Mary Ann (Benish) Pope, daughters, Cheri (Stephen) Tedrick and Debra (James) Stripsky of Christy Park, sister, Carol (John) Rock of Michigan, sister-in-law, Jean Pope of Christy Park, grandchildren, Brenda (Matthew) Salcedo, Joyce (Christian) Crabtree, Lauren Tedrick, and Alex and Erik Stripsky, great-grandchildren, Michaela and Charlotte Salcedo and Celine Crabtree, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Stephen Pope who passed away February 28, 2017 and his brother, Harold Pope.
