Kathryn A. Brown, age 63 of McKeesport, passed away at home on September 11, 2016. Born November 19, 1952 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Joseph and Lenore (Hammen) Shea and the wife of David C. Brown of 31 years.
Kathryn worked as a managed care representative for a pharmaceutical company. She went to Seminary School for the Salvation Army Officer Training Program and was a Captain in the Salvation Army. Kathryn was a longtime member of the First Church of the Open Bible where she was the President of the Ladies’ Club and she also loved reading Christian literature.
She is survived by her son, Paul David Brown of McKeesport; stepsons, Eric Christopher Brown of Brick, NJ and Joshua Caleb Brown, of Jacksonville, FL; stepdaughter, Heather Brown of Brick, NJ; and grandson, Nathaniel Brown. Kathryn is also survived by her siblings, Carol Eiffart, Ann Marie Hallock, Patricia Watts, Ethel Poppa, Richard Shea, Edward Shea, and Dennis Shea.  A Memorial service will be held on September 17, 2016 at the First Church of The Open Bible in McKeesport at 3 p.m.  Pastor Brian Schmigel will officiate.
