Clarence "Wayne" Gaffron, age 93, of White Oak, died May 18, 2022, at Dunlevy Manor Personal Care Home.  Born August 4, 1928, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Henry H. and Mary (Leech) Gaffron and husband of the late Vera Mae Gaffron.

Wayne was always known for his athletic abilities and fitness.  He played semi-pro football, was Mr. Pittsburgh in 1954, and was a finalist for the 1960 Olympic Trials in weight lifting.  When he was younger, he was also on a water ski team and was always an avid golfer.  Wayne showed several horses over the years and had won many ribbons.  He loved his dogs and granddogs and was known within his family as a jokester.  
Wayne is survived by children, Terrie M. (Larry) Lepidi, Wayne E. Gaffron, and Jennifer L. (John) McClelland; grandchildren, Amanda M. (Ray) Chen, Matthew J. (LuAnn) McClelland, Nicholas J. McClelland, Gabriela Lassiter, Corey W. Gaffron, Drew E. Gaffron, and Christopher Lepidi; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Silas, Jamison, and Vera.  
In addition to his parents and wife, Wayne was also preceded in death by siblings, Robert Gaffron, Henry Gaffron, and Vera Ring.  
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m.  
The funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow at Round Hill Cemetery.
