Joyce Lynn Peters, 61, of Erie, beloved mother, sister and friend passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022. She was born November 26, 1960 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Sandra Ann (Shwartz) Czarniecki. She obtained a bachelor's degree and her CPA license and always enjoyed working as an accountant for Erie Homes for Children and Adults and then Gerlach's in Erie. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Amber Peters, grandchildren, William and Piper Peters; son, Nathan Peters, grandchildren, Ethan, Izzy, Logan, and Lincoln Peters; sisters, Jeanette Markle, and Janice Genes; brother, Jimmy Czarniecki, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey Czarniecki, who passed away November 24, 1982. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 3:00pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Elizabeth Township. (412)751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, director.
