Richard A. Pomycala, age 84, of Port Vue, died June 8, 2022, at St. Clair Hospital. Born September 14, 1937, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Busch) Pomycala and husband of the late Sandy (Buono) Pomycala for 60 years.
Richard was self-employed and lettered many monuments in local cemeteries. He was a member of the Saints Joachim and Anne Parish, the North Versailles Seniors, the former Port Vue Men's Club, and the Port Vue and East McKeesport American Legion. Richard enjoyed woodworking and was known as "Mr. Fix It" and was also on the 1950 McKeesport Little League World Series Team.
He is survived by children, Brent (Beckie) Pomycala, of North Washington Twp., Terri (Robert) Wright, of Macomb. MI, and Beth (Elwood) Balog, of Cecil Twp.; grandchildren, Kelli (Paul) Simon, Shawn (Michelle) Wright, Rick (Jordain) Pomycala, Dave Pomycala, Jonathan Balog, and Andrew Balog; great-grandchildren, Paul, Michael, Avery, and Greyson; siblings, Raymond (Louise) Pomycala and Rita Puskaric. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Richard was also preceded in death by siblings, Patricia Rushe, John Pomycala, Bertha Pomycala, Mercedes Pomycala, Florence Puhala, Alice Cindrich, Francis Germek, and Stanley Pomycala.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday from 4 p.m. until the funeral service at 6 p.m.
