Loren "Herk" D. Winslow Sr., a son of the late Earl and Katheryn Winslow passed at UPMC Shadyside Hospital on June 11, 2022. Herk was born on February 14, 1950 in Blair, NE. In the early 1960's, his family relocated to Uniontown. Herk graduated from Laurel Highlands High School and earned a business degree from Penn State University, Fayette Campus. He retired from the Pennsylvania Turnpike in 2016. 
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Rita (Gearing) Winslow and children, Loren (Dianne) Winslow and Katheryn (Brian) Wood; grandchildren, Kaleb, Shyla, Cash and Jonas Winslow; sister, Katheryn Kiger; and brothers-in-law, Beacher Atkins and Larry Gaskill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Herk was preceded in death by his in-laws, Herman and Rita Gearing; sisters, Maralyn Atkins and Betty Lee Gaskill; brother, Michael and his wife, Barbara and Norman and his wife, Betty. Friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642.
