Janice Lee Jones, 64, of McKeesport, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 13, 2016. Born November 4, 1951, in Duquesne, she was the daughter of the late James and Marguerite (Shaw) Davis Sr. Loving mother of Doreen Davis, Dion Davis, and Dedris J. Davis Sr. She is also survived by four brothers, James Davis Jr., Rodney Davis, Roderick Davis, and Anthony Davis; two sisters, Darlene Davis Jackson, and Ira Davis seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Jones was a former Deaconess at Macedonia Baptist Church in the Hill District and a former Sunday School Teacher there. She was a retired paralegal for Jones & Day Law Firm and Mellon Bank. She was also a Mentor at Duquesne School Dist. for Childhood Development. Family and friends will be received in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford & Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne Monday Sept. 19 from 2 -4pm & 6-8pm and in Payne Chapel Church AME on Tuesday from 9am until time of services at 10am with Pastor Melvin Donald Wilson Jr. Burial will follow in Smithfield Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
