Obituaries | The Tube City Almanac | August 24, 2022

Regina Emerick, age 60, of Palm Bay, FL, died on Monday, August 22, 2022. She was born in McKeesport on January 9, 1962 and is the daughter of the late Jack and Regina Kelley Hoak. She was employed as a project analyst at L3Harris Technologies. Regina liked adventuring to new places to visit National Parks and monuments. She loved the Laurel Highlands and belonged among the wildflowers. She spent a lot of her time tending to nature in her own backyard by planting and feeding songbirds and critters. Fall was her favorite season and she'd never miss a Pittsburgh Steelers game. She was a true nurturer by nature and will be sorely missed by every person or creature that knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Emerick; daughters, Jaqueline Emerick of Washington, D.C.; Laurel Emerick of Palm Bay, FL; and brother, Father Jack W. Hoak, OFM of El Salvador.

Family and friends will gather on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., officiated by her brother, Reverend Father Jack W. Hoak, OFM, at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church, 1640 Fawcett Avenue, White Oak, PA 15131. Burial will follow.
