Theresa M. Mattis, Age 48 of West Mifflin, PA, died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, August 25, 2022. Born July 22, 1974 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Valeria E. (Miklos) Mattis and the late Michael T. Mattis.

Theresa was an active member of Mary Mother of God Parish, where she served as a Lector. She was a 1992 graduate of Serra Catholic High School. Throughout her career Theresa worked at Carnegie Mellon, Pitt, Macy’s and most recently at BP. She was a popular karaoke co-host at Joe’s Bar in West Mifflin.

In addition to her mother, Theresa is survived by her loving cat Luna and siblings: Michael (Amy) of White Oak, Monica of McKeesport, Bill (Tina) of West Mifflin, and Christopher (Paul-James) of Churchill. Also surviving are nephews Michael (Kayla and expected baby), Ryan, Nicholas, and Jonathan; her extended family Janet and Lisa Iera, aunts, uncles and many loving cousins. A devout Catholic, Theresa also had an interest in the psychic realm. She was a very spiritual person who had a keen insight into people’s energies. Her intelligence, honest and trustworthy personality often led to friends coming to her for guidance and advice on any matter. She will be greatly missed by many.

Friends will be received Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-8 pm at the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Inc. 828 Richford Street, Duquesne, PA 15110. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am in Mary Mother of God Parish at the St. Mary Czestochowa worship site, 2515 Versailles Avenue, McKeesport PA 15132 with her Godfather, Rev. Thomas A Nasta, officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery West Mifflin.
