Michael Govanucci, 84, of Monroeville passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022, after a brief yet valiant struggle with cancer. Michael was the son of the late Dorothy (Tatalovich) Govanucci of McKeesport.

Michael is survived by his wife, Margaret (Obranovich) Govanucci, daughters, Renée (Greg Schooley) Govanucci of Pittsburgh and Michelle (Robert) George of Round Rock, TX, brother Don (JoAnne) Govanucci of White Oak and nieces Karen (Joseph) Linscott of Renfew and Kelly Govanucci of White Oak. Michael’s extended family includes Mark (Tammy) DiGiorgio of North Huntington, Diane (Tim) Drnevich of North Huntington and David DiGiorgio of Westminster, CO. Michael cherished his family and friends, co-workers at Port Authority Transit of Allegheny County. Michael was a member of the #765 Masonic Lodge in Dravosburg where he was a 32 nd degree Master Mason with over 50 years of service. Michael will be remembered for his enthusiasm for meeting new people and reconnecting with long-time friends - he talked to everyone - and for his comical storytelling and Dad advice like,“Everyone wants to live long, no one wants to get older.” There is no visitation.
