Paul J. Bittner, 88, of North Huntingdon, died at home Tuesday, September 13, 2022. He was born July 13, 1934 in Meyersdale, a son of the late James and Rosella (Steinley) Bittner. He was a retired dispatcher for CSX Corporation and a member of First United Methodist Church, Irwin. He enjoyed his grandchildren and attended many of their baseball and softball games. He loved to garden and liked to fish.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years Iva L. (Smith) Bittner; his children Terry Bittner (Sandra) of North Huntingdon, Gary Bittner (Marylou) of FL, Debbie Miller (Ron) of North Irwin, Larry Bittner (Patti) of DE and Dennis Bittner (Kendra) of North Huntingdon; his grandchildren Brittni Prosdocimo (Ben), Courtni Lorah (John), Stephani Tarr (Mike), Bathani Eicher (Darren), Justin Bittner (Meghan), Shannon Harmon, Victoria Anderko, Alexander Bittner (Alexandria), and Elizabeth Bittner; 12great grandchildren; siblings Karl Bittner of Frostburg, MD and Doris Elliott (Dan) of North Irwin; also nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Bruce Judy, officiating. Private interment will follow in Cook’s Cemetery, Wellersburg.
