Karen L. Benevento, 78, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 17, 2022. She was born May 31, 1944 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy (Williamson) Santacasa. Prior to her retirement, Karen was a bank teller for Union National Bank and was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed volunteering at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Filbert N. Benevento. She is survived by her daughters, Tina Walcutt, Denise Hutchison and her husband, Michael, son, Anthony Benevento and his wife, Deneen; proud grandmother of 8, Jacob, Anthony, Joseph, Shane, Maria, Jason, Connor and Leah. Friends will be received from 1-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in New Hope Presbyterian Church. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
