Patricia Anne "Pat" Brinkos, 78, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2022 after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 21, 1944 in Davenport, IA and was daughter to the late Paul F. and Maxine M. (Griffiths) Brennan. She is also preceded in death by her dear sister, Jane M. Brennan. Pat was a 1962 graduate of McKeesport High School, where she met the love of her life, her husband Bruce Brinkos, who survives her. Theirs was a long, rich and supportive marriage, filled with love, laughter and devotion.
In addition to her beloved Bruce, her greatest joys in life were her children, Myles (Michelle Hoffman) Brinkos of White Oak, Michael (George Hernley) Brinkos of Oakland Park, FL, and Amy (Andrew Nowalk) Brinkos of O'Hara Township; and her grandchildren, whom she loved and adored: Joshua Brinkos, Megan (Robert) Angelucci, Max, James, and Peter Nowalk. She is also survived by her dear cousins, Tim and Mary Lou Palm of Latrobe. She leaves behind many dear friends, from childhood through her professional life working at Oakland Orthopedic Associates and UPMC Magee Women's Hospital Breast Cancer Clinic, where she provided solace comfort and was a bright light to countless women in need. Pat was a generous spirit, carrying your sadness with her to lighten your burdens and reveling in your joys and happiness. Pat prayed for all of those in need of God's blessings. Pat appreciated God's gifts of nature, friendships and animals, especially her beloved dogs over the years. She will be remembered by friends both from McKeesport and White Oak communities as well as by her newly found circle of friends at the Docks in Aspinwall, whom she grew to love in a very brief time. She was a long-time member of St. Angela in White Oak, and Christ the Light of the World Parish in Duquesne. Friends are welcome Friday, November 11, 2022 from 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131. Troy J. Gilbert, director.
