Alice Marie Hasson, 95, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022 at home. She was born February 14, 1927 in Martin and was the daughter of the late Andrew F. and Mary (Saliek) Ponick. She was the wife of the late Henry Walker Hasson who passed away in 1986. Alice was retired from UPMC McKeesport Hospital. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing Day Lillies and other flowers. She loved to read, travel and discuss history. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Kenneth) Hayward of White Oak, son, David H. (Sandra) Hasson of Elizabeth Township, grandchildren, Erin (fiancée, Michael Haubeil) Hayward, and Ryker H. (Rachelle) Hasson, great-granddaughter, Maddie Jean Hasson, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Ponick, sisters, Margaret Lilley and Mary Louise Ponick, and great-grandson, Nolan Hasson. There is no visitation. Private inurnment will be in the Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Monongahela Township. Arrangements are by Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.
