Geraldine Phyllis Monk, age 86 of Monroeville, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 in her daughter's home. Born March 28, 1930 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Charles William and Bessie (Bassford) Ward.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband Glen Monk, who passed away in 2010, and two of her children Carrie and Darrell Monk. She is survived by her sons Charles William Ward of Ambridge, Randolph Monk of Niantic, CT, and Gregory Monk of Saltsburg; her daughters Karen Vaillancourt of Nashville, TN and Stacy Monk of McKeesport; her seven grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren; her sisters Laura Forsythe of Munhall, Lois Treese of Carlisle, and Charlotte Burd of Penn Hills; and also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles Borough, McKeesport, PA 15132 (412-678-3454) on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 10 AM until an 11 AM Memorial Service with Rev.
