Barbara Jean Homa, 71, of Indiana, PA, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023. She was born February 20, 1952 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Emil "Moe" Brunazzi, Jr. and the late Elizabeth Marie "Betty" (Hamadock) Brunazzi. Barbara was a 1970 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and was also a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Masters Degree in Education where she was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma sorority. She was a Special Education Teacher at the Apollo Ridge High School and was previously a Library Assistant at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for 10 years. Barbara was a kind, caring and loving person with a great sense of humor. She loved crafting, reading books, tending to her flower garden and attending rock concerts with her brother Gary.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Michael Homa, sister, Sharon (Ray) Luzier of Elizabeth Township, brothers, Terry (Jane) Brunazzi, Sr. of Belle Vernon and Emil Brunazzi, III., of Irwin, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Von Brunazzi. Friends are welcome Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 2-6 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 12 pm. noon. The Rev. Jody Dausey will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela.
