Dorothy Mae "Dee" Ault, 86, of Boston, Elizabeth Township, passed away on December 8, 2023. She was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, sister, mother-in-law and friend, who will be dearly missed. Affectionately known as Dee, she lived life fully and truly relished every moment, especially those with her family. She was a lovely lady with a great sense of humor who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was always talking about times to come with her family, especially vacationing together on the Chesapeake Bay, the Jersey Shore and Canadohta Lake. She loved reading and enjoyed lunches spent with her girlfriends. She retired from Pennoni Associates at the age of 80 in 2017 as an office manager. She loved the people she worked with and always came home from work with a smile on her face. She was a member of Port Vue Methodist Church.

She leaves behind to celebrate her life, her son Jay Sr. (Beth), and daughter Lori Ward. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, whom she adored and who loved her back the very same, Jay Jr. (Julia), Billy, Joseph and Aimee (Joey Matovich). In the late years of her life came along three great-grandchildren, Gracie, Pryer and Korina. She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Ault, parents, Frederick and Dorothy Mae (Flouhr) Schmidt, Sr., and brother, Frederick Schmidt, Jr. Friends are welcome Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.
