Elaine M. (Comer-Powell) Suranovich, 79, of Port Vue, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024. She was born July 27, 1944 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Leo and Elizabeth "Betty" (O'Rourke) Comer. She was the wife of the late Steven Suranovich, Sr., who passed away October 10, 2005. Elaine was a member of Mary, Mother of God, St. Patrick Worship Site and a former member of Sts. Joachim and Ann Church, St. Eugene (the former St. Mark Church) in Liberty Boro. She worked for many years as a medical secretary for Health America. Elaine was a very religious person and loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by daughter, Anne Marie Powell Hickman; son, Daniel P. (Theresa Olson) Powell; grandchildren, Brittany (John) Tkac and Josh (Holly) Hickman; great-grandchildren, Blake, Carmella and Nevaeh; as well as numerous extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Ellie. Friends are welcome on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director.
