Harvey Wesley Rennie, Jr., 88, of Elizabeth, formerly of Port St. Lucie, FL, died Monday, November 7, 2016. He was born April 30, 1928 in Elizabeth Township and was the son of the late Harvey Wesley Rennie, Sr. and the late Ellen Elizabeth Joll Rennie. He was a member and former Trustee of the Elizabeth United Methodist Church, and was a former Assistant Fire Chief of the Elizabeth Fire Co. He was also a 50 year member of Stephen Bayard F & AM Lodge # 526 and the Pittsburgh Scotish Rite. Mr. Rennie served three terms as Mayor of Elizabeth. He retired from the West Elizabeth Lumber Co., and was a volunteer for the Port St. Lucie Police Department.

He is survived by his wife, Lois M. Mowry Rennie, son, Paul W. Rennie of Confluence, daughters, Debra (Daniel A.) Giansante of Elizabeth Township and Jayne (Gary) McHugh of Wantage, NJ, sister, Lois Frischolz of North Versailles, grandchildren, Matthew, Bryan and Joe Johnston, Jessica Kittay, and Dylan, Connor, and Hannah McHugh, great-grandchildren, Morgan, Matthew, Mia, Marley, Brianna, Macie and Alexander, nieces and nephews. There is no visitation. A memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 12, at 10:00 am., in the Chapel of Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth Township. The Rev. Jack Piper will officiate. Inurnment will follow there. Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director.
