Patricia A. Whyel, age 80, of McKeesport, died at home on February 5, 2024. Born May 16, 1943, in Pitcairn, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Hazel (Baker) Rutter and the wife of Joseph Whyel for 45 years.
Never one to shy away from a good game, Patricia was known for her unwavering dedication to bingo. Time spent at the local bingo hall brought her joy, as she reveled in the friendly competition and cherished moments shared with friends. Patricia also enjoyed the companionship of her family, often gathering around the table to play board games and cards.

Beyond her love for games, Patricia had a creative spirit crocheting. With nimble fingers and a keen eye for detail, she crafted intricate designs, knitting together beautiful blankets and delicate doilies. Patricia's talent extended to the kitchen as well, where she found joy in baking delicious Christmas cookies that filled the air with warmth and sweetness during the holiday season.
An avid animal lover, Patricia had a special place in her heart for all creatures great and small. Whether it was caring for her loyal feline companions or advocating for animal welfare, her compassion knew no bounds. She approached life with kindness and grace, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Christine (Rich) Sullenberger and Tracie (Theodore) Gibasiewicz; grandchildren, Frank Gray, Ricky Charles, Annie Schrott, and Donald (Jeannetta) Schrott, and Amanda (Warren) Schrott-Blackie; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Kimber. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Kovel, and her brothers and sisters.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 2 p.m. until the funeral service at 5 p.m. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com.
