Nickolas P. Kolocuris, age 87, of White Oak, died February 7, 2024, at AHN Forbes Hospital. Born September 25, 1936, in Korinth, Greece, he was the son of the late Peter and Marina (Kalaras) Kolocuris and husband of Dorothy (Hollis) Kolocuris for over 61 years.
Nickolas immigrated from Greece at the age of 19. He built an impressive career in the restaurant industry, serving as the former owner of Scotch n' Sirloin Steakhouse, and later a bartender at numerous locations, including Sgro's restaurant, Bravo Franco's, and manager at Top of the Towers Restaurant. He was a past parishioner at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Oakland and a current member at Annunciation of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, White Oak. Nickolas found great joy working in his garage, rebuilding cars, hunting with friends, and working on various home improvement projects. Above all, he cherished quality time spent with his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he was so proud of.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he is survived by his loving children, Maureen (Mike) Trexler, Pete (Daniela) Kolocuris, and Nick (Dawn) Kolocuris; grandchildren, Niko (Kristen), Andreas, Damon, Nyssa, Nickolas, Ainsleigh, and Alexander "Xander" Kolocuris; great-grandchildren, Reagan and Pierson; brothers, Andrew (Foli) Kolocuris of Korinth, Greece, Harry (Frosso) Kolokouris, and Soto (Irene) Kolocouris. The burial will take place privately at Grandview Cemetery in North Versailles. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nick's name to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of White Oak, PA. Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory.
