Dorothy Medic, 90, died June 22, 2024, at AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born January 12, 1934, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Medic and Mary B. (Vignevic) Medic. Preceded in death by brother David Medic (Los Angeles California) and sister Donna (Ray Nicholas Moss) North Huntingdon Pennsylvania.

Dorothy was a scholar, earning her Bachelor's degree in education from Slippery Rock University and later accomplishing a Master's degree in education from Duquesne University. Her passion for teaching led her to a distinguished 43-year career with the West Mifflin Area School District, where she nurtured countless young minds as a dedicated second and third grade teacher. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and knowledge that will be fondly remembered.

Dorothy is survived by her nephews, Jeffrey N. Moss of White Oak and Dr. Raymond D. Moss (Dr. Gabriella P.) of Laytonsville, MD; and her niece Kristine M. Moss (Dr. Jennifer Sichel) of Louisville, KY; great-niece and great-nephews, Alexandra L. (Geoffrey) Schrager of Washington D.C.,Raymond D. Moss, Jr. Esquire. of Washington D.C., and SSG Moss, Sebastian of United States Air Force (Japan).

Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 10 until the time of the Funeral Service at noon. Committal will follow at McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 901 Hartman Street, McKeesport, PA 15132.
