Theodore L. "Teddie" Gibasiewicz, age 58, of McKeesport, died July 8, 2024, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born August 23, 1965, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Leonard and Kathleen (Rhinehart) Gibasiewicz and the husband of Tracie (Horvath) Gibasiewicz.
Teddie was retired from the Mckeesport Daily News, where he serviced daily accounts until the closure of the paper. He attended the former St. Mary's Czestochowa Church of Mckeesport. Ted had a passion for both antique and muscle cars, loved animals, and was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers football fan.
In addition to his wife, Teddie is survived by brothers, Tim (Susan Gluscic) Gebis and Thomas "Pal" Gebis; sister, Teresa Gebis; nieces, Kelli (Vernon) Sikora, Sedona Miller, and Heather Gebis; nephews, Jacob Gebis and Aiden Morris; great-nephews, Lincoln and Colton.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by brother, Todd F. Gebis; niece, Jennifer Morris; and his pet cats, Pumpernickel, Little Bubby, and Franklin.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, July 14, 2022, from 1 until time of service at 4 p.m., in the funeral home chapel.
