William T. Martin, 78 of McKeesport, peacefully on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016 at home.

He was born December 2, 1937 in Four States, WV, son of the late Enoch Alexander and Mary A. Tolliver Martin. He was preceded in death by wife, Marva M. Martin and brother, James Martin.

He was a member of Christ Temple A.M.E. Church, Henry C. Williams Post 666 American Legion and Booker T. Washington Lodge #218 IBPOE of W. He was a retired housekeeper with The Jewish Home and formerly employed with McKeesport Hospital and US Steel National Tubeworks. He also serves in the US Army and Airforce during the Vietnam War Era.

Survivors include children, William T. Martin, Jr. of Duquesne, John (Debbie) Pennington of Stevenport, WI, James (Hope) Pennington of McKeesport; siblings, Betty (Rev. Sylvester) Holmes of McKeesport, Dorothy Sallie of Cleveland, OH, Leonard (Karen) Belton of McKeesport; devoted friend, Sandra Patterson of McKeesport, PA; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Friends will be received Wednesday at the at the Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, Inc., 2326 Jenny Lind Street, McKeesport. Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Temple A.M.E. Church, 937 Rose Street, McKeesport with Rev. Geoffrey Tate, officiating.

Interment will follow in the McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery, McKeesport.
