Jean Sodora, age 81, of McKeesport, died September 20, 2024, at home. Born Dec. 13, 1942, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late George and Victoria (Martinec) Kolodziej.

Jean was a McKeesport High School Class of 1960 graduate and also attended beauty school. She worked for over 63 years as Hairdresser and operated her own business within her home. Jean was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi Church.

She is survived by her son, Michael John (Heidi) Sodora of Port Vue; daughter, Lori Jo Sodora of McKeesport; grandchildren, Joshua Crow, Bradly Sodora, Stephanie DeFelice, and Adam Dzubak; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Mathew, Abby, Ellie, Emmy, Wyatt, and Logan; sister, Angie (Albert) Piesik; sisters-in-law, Barbara Kolodziej and Theresa Kolodziej; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jean was also preceded in death by her grandson, Mathew DeFelice; brothers, Eugene and Daniel Kolodziej; sister, Wanda Wedge; stepbrothers, Henry Kolodziej and Emil Krzan.

Family and Friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 5 to 8 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home chapel Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be private at New St. Joseph's Cemetery of North Versailles.
