Linda Sue Revak, age 73, a long-time resident of White Oak, PA, passed away peacefully at her home in Norman, Oklahoma, on September 19, 2024. Born July 16, 1951, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Harry and Winifred Eugenia Laura (Marcus) Nunimaker, and the wife of 25 years to the late Edward J. Revak Jr., whom she married October 16, 1993.

Linda graduated from McKeesport High School Class of 1969. She later earned an Associate of Science degree from CCAC Boyce Campus, where she was a Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society member and made the Dean's List several times. She worked for 34 years and retired as an Echocardiographer.

Linda enjoyed over ten years as a Cheerleading Director at White Oak Athletic Association, while her daughters, Shannon and Kelly, were active in youth sports. She was also involved in a dog rescue operation in Mesa, AZ known as Cast Off Cockers, that saved hundreds of dogs from euthanasia. Provisions and medical care were provided for the pets while helping other foster families care for these beautiful rescued dogs while waiting to find their forever homes with new families. Linda also fostered them in her own home and kept several that were not adoptable; she also helped to arrange new homes for the rescued dogs.

Linda will be remembered for her love of family and dogs. Her grandchildren called her "Bubba" and affectionately called her "the dog whisperer." Despite our family being spread across the country, she ensured we stayed connected by bringing us together every summer. These gatherings gave us extraordinary adventures and quality time, leaving us with beautiful memories to cherish. She also loved playing cards, especially spades, with her family.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Kelly J. (Kavan) Whelan Akins; stepsons, Robert F. "Bobby" Revak and Marc (Erin) Revak; grandchildren, Brycen Marcus (fiancé, Jaycie Melton) Williams, Kenzie J. Williams, Tedi A. (Chase Cole) Whelan, Ashley E. Hathaway, and Adam "AJ" Hathaway Jr.; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Rose Cole, Oaklynn Mae Cole, and Josephine Wren Cole; and brother, Kevin (Deneen) Nunimaker.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Shannon Kathleen Whelan Hathaway; and stepson, Vincent R. Revak.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. Private inurnment will be at Jefferson Memorial Park.
