Rita P. DiCristofaro, age 91, of Lincoln, died October 15, 2024, at AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born June 26, 1933, in Homestead, she was the daughter of the late Wadsworth and Alfrieda (Thomas) Pienkoski and the beloved wife of Jerry DiCristofaro for 67 years. Rita was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church, sang in the choir, and touched the lives of many through her dedication to teaching CCD and her compassionate work as a Teacher's Aide at Allegheny Intermediate Unit. Rita found joy in helping children with special needs and brought light to their lives through her kindness and support. Her love for music and talent for playing the piano was evident to all who knew her, and her greatest joy came from spending time with her cherished grandson, who brought immense happiness and meaning to her life.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Frank DiCristofaro, of White Oak; a grandson, Nicholas DiCristofaro; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas DiCristofaro, and a brother, Gary Pienkoski. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworksi Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Chrisitan burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church.
