Ernest W. Falcsik, 94, of Boston, Elizabeth Township, died Thursday, December 1, 2016. He was born August 1, 1922 in Swissvale and was the son of the late Andrew and Rosa Ponzranz Falcsik. He was husband of the late Margaret Elizabeth Vamosi Falcsik who died March 28, 2010. Ernest was a machinist for the former Mesta Machine and retired after 40 years of service.
He was a US Army Veteran of WWII. He served in Battles and Campaigns in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. He received the Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Medal and the EAME Theater Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars. Ernest loved to whistle and enjoyed watching Westerns. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (James) Lukacena and Janie Falcsik of Boston, brothers, Dennis Falcsik of Irwin and George (Mary) Falcsik of Williamstown, WV, granddaughters, Jessica (Dan) Boyd of Elizabeth and Julie (Tony) Moranelli of Jefferson Hills, great-granddaughters, Sydney and Samantha Boyd and Livia Moranelli, nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome Friday December 2 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
