Bobbie Tucker, 84 of East Orange, New Jersey, formerly of Duquesne, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Amboy Nursing and Rehab Center, Perth Amboy, NJ.
BT, as he was affectionately known, was born November 13, 1932 in McKeesport, son of the late Sterling Joseph and Gladys C. Tucker. Bobbie was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth Henderson Tucker; daughter, Patricia Renee Tucker; siblings, Lorraine Ross, Sterling Tucker, Mildred Earl, sisters and brother-in-law, Joyce Tucker, Doretta Tennon, Brunetta Gray, and William “Bubba” Henderson.
He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where he was active in the men’s group, a former member of the Elks, and retired from US Steel, where he worked as a Supervisor. He was also a proud veteran who had served his country in the United States Army.
Survivors include children, Donna Tucker Kirkland of East Orange, NJ, Parada (Joseph) Jordan of Detroit, MI; son-in-law, Paul Kirkland of Duquesne; grandchildren, Parris Bland of Houston, TX, Brianna Kirkland of East Orange, NJ, Phillip Jordan of Detroit, MI; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Sayles of West Mifflin, Frances Mulgado, DeWayne (Maureen) Tucker both of Duquesne, Ronald Tucker of Upper Marlboro, MD, Larry (Thelma) Tucker of Homestead; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine Tucker of Homestead, Estelle Covington and Inez Lewis both of Atlanta , GA, James Ross of Bronx, NY and James (Mariah) Henderson of West Mifflin, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Friends will be received Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, 17 Cochran Street, Duquesne, Pennsylvania, where services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Archie D. Perrin, Jr., officiating.
Interment will follow in the McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery, McKeesport.
