Roberta "Red" J. Sawders, age 73 of White Oak, passed away at home on Saturday, December 10, 2016.  Born December 31, 1942 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late David and Dorothy (Schmidt) Morgenstern and wife of the late William T. Sawders, who passed away April 13, 2009. 

A member of Hope United Methodist Church in Christy Park, Roberta loved to craft, go antique hunting, and trying new recipes from all of her cookbooks.  Most of all, she was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and her family will love and miss her always.  She is survived by her children William R. (Amy) Sawders of Versailles, Kimberly J. Sawders of White Oak, Tammy (Nick) Helfrich of East McKeesport, and Pail (Lisa Snyder) Sawders of Elizabeth Twp.; her grandchildren William Sawders, Coribeth Knyaz, David Sawders, Alisha Ero, Jessica Sawders, Brittany and Edward Bielic, Matthew Helfrich, Jarret Sawders, and Ryan Snyder; her great-grandchildren Jaxson, Bentley, Luke, Madison, Skylar, Mayson and Frank (a.k.a. Cranky Franky); her brothers Robert Morgenstern of Coraopolis, Charles Morgenstern of Brighton Heights, and John Morgenstern of Jeanette; and also nieces and nephews.  Funeral arrangements for Roberta are private at the request of the family.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations towards Roberta's funeral costs, c/o Daniel F.
