John R. Gellen, Jr., age 54, of McKeesport, died January 21, 2025, at UPMC Mercy. Born December 28, 1970, in McKeesport, he was the son of John R. Gellen, Sr., and the late Ruth Ann (Swanson) Gellen and companion of Vicki Carrillo.

John worked at Burkhart's Auto Body, where he manufactured train parts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.

In addition to his father and companion, John is also survived by his brother, Jason R. Gellen of McKeesport; uncle, John Swanson of McKeesport; aunt, Beverly (Victor) Patera of Elizabeth Twp.; also cousins, extended family and friends.

Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home and Crematory. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
